One of the most poignant interviews in 2Pac’s life was when he sat down and shared his controversial thoughts and dramatic personal life story with me.

2Pac, Tupac Amaru Shakur was a rapper, writer, and actor; infamous in the gangsta rap genre and the creator of Thug Life. Although he died from gunshot wounds on September 13, 1996, in Las Vegas, he sold over 75 million records worldwide by 2010 and remains one of the top-selling artists in the world today.

As host and producer of BETs, Live From LA With Tanya Hart, I was the first interviewer to ask Tupac the tough questions- questions that spoke to him and allowed him to dig deep and speak honestly about a life that was in no way easy. Here’s a look a short piece of the time we spent together.
