The American Music Awards was a family affair for the great Diana Ross. black-ish star, Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the broadcast as her mother received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

A video montage took us through snippets of the incredible life and career of Ms. Ross and the grand lady herself followed with an incredible medley of some of her biggest hits.

While accepting the American Music Awards Life Time Achievement Award Diana invited her entire family on stage. Daughters Chudney 42, Rhonda Ross Kendrick 46, son Ross Naess 30, Tracee Ellis Ross 45, and Diana’s grandson Raif-Henok Emmanuel Kendrick eight.

Smokey Robinson and Motown founder Berry Gordy joined in too. She looked fantastic and it was one of the major highlights of the show.

Pink and Kelly Clarkson opened the show with a powerhouse duet of R.E.M’S ‘Everybody Hurts’ and Pink kicked it up a notch by performing on the side of a building.

Christina Aguilera performed a Whitney Houston tribute, which was another buzz-worthy moment. And it was a big night for Bruno Mars. He took home seven awards!
